How Pain Cave Fitness Began- Our Story
Pain Cave Fitness started in a garage/field around 10 years ago. I had started to combine my training from triathlon, martial arts, and resistance based activities into 1 “method” in order to keep my “readiness levels” maintained year round. My thought process was that at anytime i could prepare for a run, bike, swim, fight as well as be fairly equipped to defend myself and others should the time ever arise.
The Pain Cave is not a place, a training regimen or a system; rather it is a way of life.
“The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in combat.”
“The only easy day was yesterday”
Can you find it in yourself, when there is nothing left to give, push on as if your life depended on it? Because someday, it will.
“When I started training with Pain Cave Fitness several years ago I thought I knew what fitness was. Nick quickly proved me wrong. Everything in Pain Cave Fitness is carefully designed and constructed for a reason, from the exercise groupings right down to the interval durations. It is the ultimate in functional training. The philosophies and methods of Pain Cave Fitness all make sense and the end result is not just physical. Your mind will improve and the way you view your fitness and health will evolve. I’ve seen it work for everyone from mixed martial artists and high school athletes to middle-aged mothers and more. Pain Cave Fitness helped prepare me for the high-demands of a collegiate wrestling season, from the endurance and strength aspects to flexibility and staying healthy. I HIGHLY recommend you give Nick the chance to blow your mind and whatever level of fitness you think you maintain out of the water! You don’t have to be a warrior to train like one, but you will definitely feel like one when you’re finished!”
